Our Story
The increasing population of elderly Canadian’s or those with chronic conditions and disabilities has placed unprecedented demand on our public and private care systems. COVID-19 has exposed various gaps in the care and services provided today, putting many Canadian’s at risk. That is why now more than 91% of Canadians want to stay in the comfort of their own homes when receiving care. Additionally, the limited availability of publicly funded services has left over 36% of Canadians with partially met or unmet needs.
Today, these alternatives lack convenience, flexibility and require costly long-term commitments. The rigid nature of our public and private home care systems does not meet the needs of Canadian’s and are putting increased pressure and stress on family and friends who are considered informal caregivers today.
That is why we created Helpers, to get Canadian’s the care they need, when they need it.
